My heart is so full of gratitude and love right now for the many customers, employees and friends that sent their good thoughts and wishes our way. One of those customers is John Rohman, CEO of WBRG Architects, former mayor of Bangor and the man responsible for bringing the Folk Festival to town. John came to visit me last Wednesday and offered to help in any way he could with our issues with the City of Bangor. By Thursday, those issues (that had forced us to close) were resolved! We are now back on track with our remodeling project and fully expect to reopen in the Spring. We anticipate a closure of about 2 months.
Thank you, John! And thank you to everyone that has supported us along the way! Ciao for now!
Please reopen. We already miss you and can't wait to make our trek to Bangor for our cheeses, olives, cheeses, breads, more olives!!

Wonderful news! Should we keep our gift cards, or return them for reimbursement as indicated in your previous post?

Regarding gift certificates and coffee cards, it is our preference that they be redeemed following our re-opening. But given the circumstances, we can be flexible if necessary. Please feel free to use my email for inquires.

I'm thrilled! Giacomo's is a big part of our quality of life as downtown residents. It's so nice to have a place to grab coffee in the morning or pick up dinner on the way home, where I know the staff and they know me. I'm looking forward to your grad re-opening!

Oh my goodness - I was so worried that you would be closing up shop. Bangor is notorious for putting the 'kabosh' on any type of positive community improvement. We have loved shopping at your groceria for the grana padano and the ever mouth watering 'pocket coffees' and I must not forget Illy coffee. So relieved! Thank you for what you offer our small town.

This is wonderful news and speaks volumes about the spirit of community and collaboration in Bangor. Thanks, Milva, for all you've brought to downtown and thanks, John, for your assistance and continuing involvement in making this small city a great place to work and live.

I am glad you will be reopening. I have worked in a couple of family run stores myself and know how much work it takes to keep one running. I can't wait to get some more Danielle Mortadella. That's one of the best domestically produced Mortadella in the country. It's made in RI, my friends dad worked there and we also sold their products in the store we worked at. We only used the best meats, imported and domestic in our sandwiches. That's why I love your sandwiches, they remind me of what we used to make. It's an art form. Would you be interested in employing a part time sandwich maker?
